In my role at the Center for Business and Human Rights at NYU Stern School of Business, I began as an administrative assistant, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the organization's dynamics. Recognizing an opportunity to enhance our communications strategy, I advocated for and transitioned into the newly established role of Assistant Director of Communications.
Conducting thorough audits and collaborating with stakeholders, including prominent PR consultants, I crafted a targeted social media growth strategy. Identifying LinkedIn and Twitter/X as untapped potential, I spearheaded the creation and development of our Center's LinkedIn presence from scratch, organically growing it to over 1,000 engaged followers within a short period.
Highlights since the LinkedIn launch include:
Simultaneously, I maintained a consistent Twitter/X presence, facilitating organic follower growth. Additionally, I formulated a distinct branding approach for our external communications, optimizing our reach and impact.
I have also successfully orchestrated the strategic release of over 5 research reports, leveraging social media and our website to maximize visibility and engagement.
In this capacity, I've demonstrated an ability to drive social media growth, shape branding strategies, and amplify the Center's impact through effective communication and engagement initiatives.
Looking forward I I plan to consolidate our newsletter audience of over 5,000 subscribers into a comprehensive monthly newsletter strategy. This initiative will focus on informing our readers about key issues related to business and human rights, ensuring they are consistently updated and engaged with our mission.
